Mapping type - Select the mapping type:
SINGLE - Allow single room per mapped roomtype
MULTI - Allow multiple rooms per mapped roomtype

Single Mapping Type

Mapping type Single means only one room per room type can b e mapped to create a suite. For example:
Suite A has got the following underlying rooms:
1. Room # 001, which is a standard room
2. Room # 504, which is a executive room
3. Room # 1001, which is a junior suite

This mapping type is the one we prefer, because this setting will ensure true availability figures. An example is described below.
In the example above you can see only 1 room per each room type is used within this mapping. This will make sure IDPMS gives the true availability figures.

Multi Mapping Type

Within Multi mapping all kind of endless mappings are allowed. The only struggle we have within this type of mapping is giving true availability figures. When you are using this mapping we can't generate true availability figures, so you availability will be incorrect.
This mapping will only ensure true availability figures when you assign a room immediately to every single reservation. Please be advised single mappings is the one which we recommend. In most of the hotels the single configuration is suitable.
