Merge Field

Merge Fields are used to assist in compiling letters in IDPMS Editor. In most IDPMS installations, the Merge Field table should already exist. It is advisable to consult with an Amadeus Trainer before making changes to this table. The Merge Fields make a link to the SQL database of tables for specific fields in IDPMS allowing a user to merge these fields into the letter.

To access Merge Fields, go to Settings->Advanced->Merge Fields

To add a Merge field, select the

Code- The code will consist of the Table name.field name (from the IDPMSSQL Database Tables)

Table- The name of the SQL table in IDPMS DB

Field- The exact field name from the table

Expression- an sql expression can be entered.

In the letter example below, we need to add the Hotel Name. The Merge field for this is.

 Select the Merge field, then place the cursor in the position in the body of the letter where the merge field should go. Click on the merge field name twice and it will then be added to the position in the letter where the cursor was.
