Night Audit is usually conducted at a property when the entire days events have been completed and may include, all departures completed, all arrivals checked in and all outlets closed and charges posted. Although it is not mandatory that these functions are performed prior to audit, it is advisable. In summary the night audit procedure closes the business day and rolls the date to the next day. The audit autorun procedure in IDPMS is a one button event and can be activated by selecting the 'Start Night Audit' from the Night Audit Menu. The night audit autorun procedure includes many different functions and completes each function as part of a checklist. Many of these functions are included below in the menu and do not require manual operation unless indicated by a support representative or a failed function as part of the autorun. Each function is described under separate topics as noted below.
