EFT Providers

EFT Interface refers to Electronic Funds Transfer Interface that processes credit card data.
These settings are configured if the property is using a credit card interface. The settings will vary per type of interface.

Settings > Interfaces > EFT > EFT providers.

Interface - Credit card interface, selected from drop down. For example Adyen, 3c, Shift4, CCV.  
Server address - Server address, IP address, URL or back-end API. Provided by the hotel contact.   
Server Port - Port number, must be set if cc service is running locally.
Merchant ID - The merchant id is the id of the hotel. Each hotel has its own unique id. Provided by the hotel contact during installation.
Serial Number - EFT serial number.
Unique hotel identifier for acquirer.
Default interface - Set to X for the default interface to use. Indication of the leading EFT provider. Some hotels have more than one payment provider. The default payment provider is used for top-ups during night audit.
Username - Provided by the hotel contact at installation.  
Password - Provided by the hotel contact at installation.
Auth addit perc - Additional percentage to be authorized at check-in, set up according wishes of hotel. This percentage is also used in the calculation when running the night audit (and 'Authorization at NA' = X)
Auth addit Amount - Additional amount to be authorized at check-in, set up according wishes of hotel. This amount is also used in the calculation when running the night audit (and 'Authorization at NA' = X)

ax Nights (usually 14) - Max number of nights to be authorized. Used for calculating the total amount to authorize at check-in for each reservation.    
Comm Timeout (default 90 sec)  - Set to 120. EMV terminals have default value of 120. After X seconds a time out message is displayed.     
File path - Some Credit Card interfaces use file exchange and therefore the file path would need to be entered here.
Authorize at night audit - Set to 'X' if PMS should send adjustAuthorize (or top-up authorization or incremental authorization) requests for folios which have balance greater than (pre)authorized during the night audit.
Adjust Credit Limit on auth - After authorizing a credit card via an interface, the authorized amount will populate the credit limit field linked to the card. This setting would adjust the credit limit field on the reservation screen once any changes occur in authorization amounts on the folio
Auth margin factor - Factor = 6.25. This factor is used to determine whether an incremental authorization is skipped as long as amount to be settled < AUTH AMOUNT * AUTH_MARGIN
Void - Check this box if you want the interface to send a void through when a credit card posting is cancelled on a folio.
Enables void-call on using recycle bin in Posting screen
Completion Reversal -
Auth at check-in-
If enabled, the authorization screen will pop-up automatically at check-in. The guest will be asked to insert his credit card in the credit card terminal
Auth only at CI on card present -  
Close/Open Shift at night audit - Check this if the credit card shift should be open/closed during night audit.
EMV -
 
DCC - Set to 'X' if property has terminals which support DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion). With DCC, the terminal gives the guests the opportunity to pay in their own currency. A question is displayed on the terminal, for example: “Do you want to pay in Pounds or Euros?” The PMS always posts in the hotels’ currency. Credit card is charged in currency chosen by guest.

Release Authorization -
Set option to X, if hotel would like to auto void unused authorization for cancelled / checked out reservations in the night audit. an authorization is a reservation on the guests’ credit card. Normally this reservation is hold for approximately 30 days, which means the guest can’t use this amount for other purposes. With the setting ‘release authorization’ this authorization can be released earlier. The guest doesn’t have to wait for 30 days before the authorization is released. The number of days is configurable.  
Debug log - Always ''. No transactions will be logged in file in folder EFTDebug. Only set when testing or debugging
EFT log Deactivate Days - Set number of days that EFT debug log should be deactivated
Allow paymaster cards - Set to X if credit card transactions (tokenization, authorizations, recurring settlements) are also allowed on paymasters.
If '', only one-of-sales can be made and no data is stored to make transaction recurring (i.e. not using terminals)
Secure cardreader -
Auth subfolio at CI - Select default sub folio to be authorized, usually A
Opt Disclaimer Perc - Disclaimer percentage in the bottom text on the invoice. When using DCC, 3% extra will be charged if the customer pays in his own currency.
Clerc ID - 5-digit number to identify IDPMS
Tokenization - If enabled, credit card numbers are stored as a token.
