Lost and found

The lost and found module is meant to store and retrieve information about the hotel guests' lost and found objects. It provides the property with a central location to log all lost and found items.
To access the lost and found module, go to Housekeeping > Lost and Found
 
The following window will appear and if items are already listed, they will be shown as seen in the example below.
 

  Pressing the search button will activate the search screen where one can seek a specific item
With this button the user can change/filter the items that are displayed. By default, all items are displayed. Pressing this button will show only the open (not settled) items. One pressed the button will change to a closed lock.

Opening an entry will display the following screen:

If the first entry is of an object that was lost by a guest the Object Description can be filled in the top section of the screen. If it concerns an object found, the Object Description can also be filled in the bottom section. If later the object is found, the remaining part of the section can be filled, which will automatically update the entry as closed. 
The pick up information could be used when the guest picks up the object or when the hotel employee mails the object to the guest.
To print an object icon, select the print icon

Reports - Lost and found report can be found under the File menu > Reports >Housekeeping > Lost Articles and a report for Found Articles.
