The interface watcher monitors the processes of the interfaces. Whenever a registered interface is not responding or not running, the watcher will send a message to IDPMS and will (try to) restart the interface. See Interface Messages. Next to a message in IDPMS, an email can be sent.
The Interface Watcher was created to assist hotels in keeping track of the status of monitored interfaces. The hotels are responsible for ensuring all interfaces are running properly. When irregularities occur Amadeus Hospitality Support can be contacted for assistance.
